Student Poster Contest Winners
A student poster competition has been held in conjunction with the West Branch Susquehanna Restoration Symposium since 2010. Posters presented cover topics related to abandoned mine drainage, abandoned mine reclamation, or a related topic. Projects with a focus in the West Branch Susquehanna River basin are preferred, but not required. Students give a 5-minute presentation explaining their research to a panel of judges, who then determine the winners.
Each student entering a poster will have the registration fee waived and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place students will receive a monetary award.
If you would like to take part in the student poster competition this year, please send an abstract (250 word maximum) along with your name, affiliation, and contact information to Rachel Kester at [email protected] by Friday, February 19th.
Professors: If you would like a flyer to post or handout to students, please use this PDF.
